KIKUSUI TOS6210 Ground Bond Tester

High-Current Ground Bond Testing up to 60 A

The KIKUSUI TOS6210 is a high-current ground bond tester designed for protective-earth and protective-bonding continuity tests requiring test currents up to 60 A AC.

A constant-current drive system provides programmable test current with resistance and voltage-drop measurement for pass/fail evaluation. The instrument measures resistance from 0.001 Ω to 0.600 Ω and supports both resistance-based and sampled-voltage-based judgment methods.

Up to 60 A AC High-current ground bond testing with a detailed setting range of 6.0 to 62.0 A.
0.001–0.600 Ω Low-resistance measurement with 0.001 Ω resolution.
Resistance or Voltage Judgment Select pass/fail evaluation by measured resistance or sampled voltage drop.
Automated Test Integration Test-condition memory, program functions, GPIB, and RS-232C support repeatable test workflows.

Contact checking and offset cancellation support practical production and laboratory test setups, while stored test conditions can be recalled for protective-earth and protective-bonding continuity tests associated with applicable UL, IEC, and JIS safety requirements.

Ground Bond Testing up to 60 A

Supports high-current protective-earth and protective-bonding testing up to 60 A AC. The programmable current setting range extends from 6.0 A to 62.0 A under the specified output-power and terminal-voltage limits.

Resistance-Based Pass/Fail Judgment

A window-comparator function evaluates measured resistance using programmable upper and lower limits from 0.001 Ω to 0.600 Ω.

Voltage-Drop Judgment

Pass/fail evaluation can alternatively be performed using sampled voltage, with programmable upper and lower limits from 0.01 V to 5.40 V.

Offset Cancellation

Offset cancellation is available for both voltage and resistance measurement to compensate for measurement-system offset within the specified adjustment ranges.

Contact Check Function

A built-in contact check function is available for ground bond test setups before test execution.

100 Test-Condition Memories

Up to 100 test conditions can be stored for quick recall of repeated electrical safety test configurations.

Programmable Test Operation

Stored test conditions can be incorporated into programs for repeatable and automated ground bond testing.

GPIB and RS-232C Standard

Standard GPIB and RS-232C interfaces support remote control, test-condition programming, and integration into automated test systems.

Resistance and Voltage-Drop Pass/Fail Judgment

The TOS6210 supports two selectable methods for evaluating protective-earth and protective-bonding continuity: measured resistance or sampled voltage drop.

Resistance judgment uses programmable upper and lower resistance limits, while voltage-based judgment evaluates the sampled voltage against programmable upper and lower thresholds.

0.001–0.600 Ω Programmable upper and lower limits for resistance-based judgment.
0.01–5.40 V Programmable limits for sampled-voltage-based judgment.
Window Comparator Upper and lower limit evaluation generates PASS or FAIL results.
Automatic Output Shutdown The test output is shut off when a FAIL judgment is generated.

Resistance-based judgment and sampled-voltage-based judgment are alternative modes and cannot be performed simultaneously.

Programmable Ground Bond Testing

Stored test conditions and standard communication interfaces support repeatable laboratory and production-line ground bond testing.

The TOS6210 stores up to 100 test conditions and can incorporate stored conditions into programs. Test current, judgment parameters, test time, and related settings can therefore be prepared for repeated safety-test procedures.

100 Memories Store frequently used ground bond test conditions.
Program Operation Stored test conditions can be incorporated into programmable test workflows.
GPIB Standard interface supports computer-controlled test systems.
RS-232C Standard serial control supports external test-system integration.

KIKUSUI also provides memory for test conditions associated with multiple categories of safety standards and a memo function for recording information such as calibration dates and production identifiers.
