Modular Automotive Transient Immunity Testing

The KIKUSUI KES7700 Series is a modular transient immunity test system designed to reproduce conducted electrical transients encountered by automotive electronic components and systems.

The system combines a KES7702 or KES7703 mainframe with dedicated pulse-generation modules. This architecture supports Pulse 1, Pulse 2a, Pulse 3a/3b, and Pulse 5a/5b testing while allowing pulse hardware to be configured for applicable ISO, SAE, JASO, and automotive manufacturer-specific requirements.

Pulse 1 / 2a / 3a / 3b Conducted transient pulse generation for automotive immunity testing
Pulse 5a / 5b Load-dump transient simulation
50 A / 100 A CDN Two mainframe configurations for EUT power-line requirements
Up to 7 Pulse Modules Five plug-in plus two external-connect pulse systems

The KES7700 mainframes are designed to simplify the ISO 7637-2 test setup, including output terminals positioned 50 mm above the reference ground plane. Front-side output routing and separation of the power and communication systems from the surge-output path help support stable waveform generation and repeatable automotive EMC testing.

Modular Pulse Generator Architecture

Dedicated surge-generator modules are used for individual transient pulse families, allowing the KES7700 system to be configured around the test waveforms required for a specific automotive EMC program.

Pulse 1, 2a, 3a/3b and 5a/5b Support

Available pulse modules reproduce transient waveforms associated with inductive-load disconnection, switching events, electromagnetic coupling, and alternator load-dump conditions.

50 A or 100 A CDN Mainframes

Choose the KES7702 with a 60 V / 50 A CDN or the KES7703 with a 60 V / 100 A CDN according to the EUT power-line current requirement.

ISO-Oriented Test Setup

The mainframe output terminals are positioned 50 mm above the reference ground plane as specified by ISO 7637-2, helping simplify construction of a repeatable conducted-transient test environment.

Automotive Manufacturer-Specific Testing

Replaceable pulse modules and dedicated or custom waveform hardware allow the system to address supported automotive manufacturer-specific transient requirements in addition to standardized test waveforms.

RS232C System Control

The KES7702 and KES7703 provide RS232C communication for PC-based system control, including operation with KIKUSUI KES7100 application software.
