High-Speed Battery Impedance and Voltage Measurement

The KIKUSUI BIM1000 Series combines high-precision DC voltage measurement with 1 kHz AC four-terminal resistance measurement for rechargeable battery development, inspection, and manufacturing.

BIM1030 supports battery voltages up to ±300 V, while BIM1100 extends the rated input to ±1000 V. Both models provide four internal-resistance ranges from 3 mΩ to 3 Ω and can measure voltage and resistance at sampling intervals as fast as 20 ms under the specified FAST measurement conditions.

Built-in comparator functions, zero adjustment, measurement logging, condition memory, SIGNAL I/O, and standard computer interfaces support both laboratory evaluation and automated battery inspection systems.

Simultaneous Voltage and Resistance Measurement

The BIM1000 Series measures DC battery voltage and AC internal resistance for efficient evaluation of rechargeable batteries in development and production environments.

1 kHz Four-Terminal Measurement

Internal resistance is measured using a four-terminal method at 1 kHz ±0.2 Hz, reducing the influence of test-lead and contact resistance on low-resistance measurements.

0.1 µΩ Resistance Resolution

Four resistance ranges—3 mΩ, 30 mΩ, 300 mΩ, and 3 Ω—provide resolution down to 0.1 µΩ on the most sensitive range.

Up to ±1000 V Battery Measurement

BIM1030 provides a rated voltage input of ±300 V, while BIM1100 supports up to ±1000 V for higher-voltage battery systems.

High-Speed Sampling

Voltage and resistance can be sampled in as little as 20 ms in FAST mode under the specified measurement conditions, supporting rapid inspection and production workflows.

Voltage and Resistance Comparator

Independent window comparators allow upper and lower limits to be applied to resistance and voltage, with both measurement results judged simultaneously.

Zero Adjustment and Data Logging

Zero adjustment helps reduce measurement error, while the internal logging function stores up to 500 measurement sets for collective readout.

Automation Interfaces

RS232C, USB, and SIGNAL I/O are standard. LAN connectivity is available on BIM1030 WITH LAN and BIM1100 WITH LAN configurations.

Measurement Automation and Battery Inspection

The BIM1000 Series combines fast voltage and resistance measurement with comparator, trigger, logging, and external-control functions for repeatable battery inspection.

Independent voltage and resistance comparators allow both parameters to be evaluated against configured HIGH and LOW limits during the same inspection. Judgment information can be displayed locally and output through SIGNAL I/O for integration with external automation equipment.
