The KIKUSUI PAN-A Series is a high-reliability regulated DC power supply designed for stable, low-noise constant-voltage and constant-current operation. A 28-model lineup covers output voltages from 16 V to 600 V and current ratings up to 50 A.

With fast transient response, analog remote control, remote sensing, protection functions, and configurable series or parallel operation, the PAN-A Series supports R&D, quality-control, production, and general-purpose DC power applications.

High-Reliability Regulated DC Power for Laboratory and Production Use

The KIKUSUI PAN-A Series combines low-noise series regulation, stable CV/CC output, fast load-transient response, and proven protection architecture for general-purpose DC power applications.

Twenty-eight models cover voltage ratings from 16 V to 600 V and current ratings up to 50 A, with power classes from 160 W to 1200 W. The combination of a FET pre-regulator and power-transistor series regulator provides the stable output characteristics associated with linear regulation while supporting a broad range of laboratory and production requirements.

The PAN-A Series supports analog programming of output voltage and current, remote output ON/OFF control, remote sensing, and master-slave system configurations. Optional external controller hardware can also provide computer-based control for automated test systems.

High-Reliability Series-Regulator Design

A FET pre-regulator and power-transistor series regulator provide stable, low-noise DC output for demanding general-purpose power applications.

CV / CC Automatic Crossover

Constant-voltage and constant-current operation automatically transition according to the connected load and programmed output conditions.

Low Ripple and Noise

Model-specific low-ripple output characteristics support applications where stable DC power and low electrical noise are important.

50 μs Transient Response

A typical 50 μs transient response helps the output recover quickly when the connected load changes abruptly.

Low Temperature Drift

Typical temperature coefficients are 100 ppm/°C in constant-voltage operation and 300 ppm/°C in constant-current operation.

Analog Voltage and Current Control

Output voltage and current can be remotely programmed using an external voltage or resistance signal, supporting integration with analog control equipment.

Remote Output ON / OFF

External contact control allows the PAN-A output to be switched on or off from external equipment or an automated system.

Remote Sensing

Remote sensing compensates for voltage drop caused by wiring and contact resistance between the DC power supply and the load.

Master-Slave Parallel Operation

Compatible same-model units can be operated in a master-slave parallel configuration to increase available output current, with up to two slave units connected to one master.

Configurable Series Operation

Same-model units can be configured for master-slave series operation where supported. The allowable number of units depends on rated output voltage and isolation-voltage limits.

Comprehensive Protection

Protection includes adjustable overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, overheat protection, fuses, input surge protection, and additional internal safety circuitry.

Optional Computer Control

Compatible external controller hardware can extend PAN-A systems to computer-controlled operation. Digital interfaces should be treated as options rather than built-in PAN-A interfaces.

Remote Control and Multi-Unit Operation

The PAN-A Series combines built-in analog control capability with configurable master-slave operation for integration into laboratory and production power systems.

Output voltage and current can be remotely programmed using an external voltage or resistance signal, and the output can be switched on or off through an external contact. Remote sensing supports compensation for voltage drop between the power supply and the connected load.

Series operation can also increase the available voltage using compatible same-model units, but the allowable configuration depends on model voltage and isolation rating. PAN350-3.5A and PAN600-2A must not be presented as supporting standard PAN-A series operation because KIKUSUI explicitly excludes those models from series operation.
