KIKUSUI DME1600 / DME1600GC 6½-Digit Digital Multimeters

The KIKUSUI DME1600 Series combines 6½-digit precision, high-speed measurement, a dual-display interface, and optional multi-channel scanning for laboratory and automated electronic measurement applications.

Both DME1600 models support DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, 2-wire and 4-wire resistance, frequency, continuity, diode, and temperature measurements. Measurement speed can reach 2,000 readings per second at 4½-digit resolution, while 6½-digit operation supports up to 50 readings per second.

USB communication supports automated measurement on both models. The DME1600GC additionally provides GPIB for integration into existing instrument-control systems. Optional scanner cards, thermocouple accessories, Kelvin probes, and four-wire leads extend the platform from general bench measurement to automated multi-point acquisition.

6½-Digit Measurement

High-resolution measurement supports precision voltage, current, resistance, frequency, and temperature evaluation in laboratory and electronic-development applications.

Up to 2,000 Readings per Second

Measurement speed reaches up to 2,000 readings per second at 4½-digit resolution. At full 6½-digit resolution, the DME1600 supports up to 50 readings per second.

DC and AC Voltage Measurement

DC voltage ranges extend from 100 mV to 1000 V, while true-RMS AC voltage ranges extend from 100 mV to 750 V.

DC and AC Current Measurement

DC current measurement includes 10 mA, 100 mA, 1 A, and 3 A ranges. AC true-RMS current measurement provides 1 A and 3 A ranges.

2-Wire / 4-Wire Resistance

Resistance measurement covers ranges from 100 Ω to 100 MΩ. Four-wire measurement can be combined with optional Kelvin probes or four-wire test leads for low-resistance evaluation.

Frequency Measurement

Frequency measurement covers 3 Hz to 300 kHz for characterization of periodic electrical signals.

Continuity and Diode Test

Dedicated continuity and diode-test functions support component verification and troubleshooting without changing to a separate measurement instrument.

Temperature Measurement

Temperature measurement is integrated into the DME1600 measurement platform, with K-type thermocouple and thermocouple scanner accessories available for temperature measurement configurations.

Dual Three-Color Display

A 5 × 7 dot-matrix VFD provides dual-display operation with three-color indication for clear presentation of measurement and status information.

Optional Multi-Point Scanning

Optional 10-channel and 20-channel scanner cards support automated measurements across multiple test points without requiring an external switching system.

Thermocouple Scanner Option

A dedicated 10-channel thermocouple multi-point scanner card expands the DME1600 for multi-point temperature acquisition.

USB and GPIB System Integration

USB 2.0 is available on the DME1600 platform. Select the DME1600GC when GPIB connectivity is required for integration into an existing automated measurement environment.
