KIKUSUI TOS5402 AC Hipot and Insulation Resistance Tester

The KIKUSUI TOS5402 is an electrical safety tester combining 5 kV AC withstand-voltage testing with insulation-resistance measurement for R&D, quality assurance, certification, and production-line inspection.

The AC withstand-voltage section provides up to 5 kV, 100 mA, and 500 VA. A high-efficiency PWM switching amplifier helps maintain stable high-voltage output against AC line-voltage variations, while discharge detection enables additional monitoring for momentary, arc, and corona-type discharge events.

LAN with LXI support, USB, and RS232C are provided as standard for integration into automated inspection systems. Faster output control and measurement, programmable test timing, PASS/FAIL judgment, and external I/O support production and laboratory electrical-safety workflows.

5 kV / 100 mA AC Hipot Testing

The TOS5402 provides AC withstand-voltage testing up to 5 kV with a maximum rated current of 100 mA and maximum rated output of 500 VA.

Insulation Resistance Testing

Insulation-resistance testing uses programmable negative-polarity DC output from 25 V to 1000 V with a maximum rated current of 1 mA.

High-Efficiency PWM Output

A PWM switching high-voltage amplifier helps stabilize AC test voltage against input-line fluctuations and supports consistent safety-test conditions.

Adjustable Discharge Detection

Separate discharge detection can identify momentary discharges and high-frequency discharge components, including arc and corona events, with selectable detection sensitivity.

7-Inch Touch Panel

The touchscreen displays test parameters together with graphical information and diagrams to simplify test setup and operation.

Flexible Current Judgment

Upper and lower current limits support PASS/FAIL judgment during AC withstand-voltage testing, with measured current ranging from 0.00 mA to 110 mA.

Faster Test Cycle Control

Fast output control and measurement help reduce test cycle time. AC testing also supports phase-shifted waveform start conditions for applicable cycle-based tests.

LAN / USB / RS232C Standard

Standard LAN, USB, and RS232C interfaces support remote operation and integration into automated safety-test systems. LAN communication is LXI compliant.

Insulation-Test Forced Discharge

After insulation-resistance testing, the TOS5402 provides a forced-discharge function to discharge capacitance connected to the test output.

Start Long Safety Function

The Start Long function can require the START button to be held before a test begins, helping reduce unintended test starts.
