Compact, Low-Noise DC Power for Bench and System Testing

The KIKUSUI PMX-A Series combines a compact series-regulator design with programmable CV/CC output, low ripple and noise, and built-in digital communications.

Nine output configurations cover applications from low-voltage, higher-current bench testing to high-voltage, low-current DC supply requirements. Front-panel output terminals simplify load connections, while forced-air cooling allows the unit to be incorporated into rack-mounted measurement systems.

18 V to 500 V Nine output-voltage configurations
35 W to 105 W Compact linear DC output range
CV / CC Constant-voltage and constant-current operation
LAN / USB / RS232C Standard digital communication interfaces

LAN control includes a built-in Web server for browser-based monitoring and operation. The PMX-A Series also provides external analog voltage and resistance control, monitor outputs, protection functions, and three voltage/current preset memories.

Low-Noise Series-Regulator Design

The PMX-A uses a series-regulator architecture to provide low ripple and noise compared with switching-regulator power-supply designs.

Constant-Voltage and Constant-Current Operation

CV and CC operation supports general-purpose DC sourcing for laboratory, development, and automated electrical testing.

Nine Output Configurations

Models are available from 18 V / 5 A through high-voltage configurations up to 500 V / 0.1 A, allowing the supply to be selected according to the required voltage and current range.

High Setting Resolution

Current setting resolution is 0.1 mA across the series, while voltage setting resolution varies by output range. The PMX18-2A provides voltage setting resolution down to 1 mV.

LAN, USB and RS232C Standard

Standard digital interfaces support remote programming and monitoring. The LAN interface is LXI compliant and includes access through the PMX-A built-in Web server.

External Analog Control and Monitoring

Output voltage and current can be controlled using external voltage or resistance signals. Voltage and current monitor signals and operating-status outputs are also available through the rear-panel interface.

Three Preset Memories

Up to three combinations of voltage and current settings can be stored for quick recall from the front panel.

Remote Sensing on 18 V and 35 V Models

The 18 V and 35 V models provide remote sensing with up to 0.6 V compensation per line to reduce the effect of voltage drop in load wiring.

CV / CC Priority Start

Selectable CV or CC priority at output startup helps suppress unwanted voltage or current overshoot when the output is turned on.

Built-In Protection Functions

Overvoltage, overcurrent, and overheat protection monitor the supply and switch the output off when protection conditions are detected.
