Six-Channel High-Rate Battery Testing for Single-Cell Evaluation

The KIKUSUI PFX2731S is a high-rate charge/discharge tester that integrates six independent 6 V / 20 A battery-test channels, measurement circuitry, and system control into a single chassis.

Designed for high-power single-cell evaluation, the PFX2731S supports lithium-ion and all-solid-state battery development with static and pattern charge/discharge modes, C-rate-based test setup, and continuous voltage and current recording as fast as 10 ms across all channels.

6 Independent Channels Each channel is independently isolated and supports charge/discharge testing up to 6 V and 20 A.
10 ms Recording Continuously record voltage and current on all channels at the fastest data-recording setting.
9 Test Modes CC, CC-CV, CP, CP-CV charging and discharging plus programmable pattern charge/discharge.
Up to 24 Channels Connect up to four PFX2731S units by LAN and operate them from one PC.

Independent hardware and software protection, a built-in path switch, incorrect-wiring detection, capacity protection, optional temperature measurement, and synchronized environmental-chamber operation support long-duration battery evaluation with multiple layers of test protection.

Six Fully Independent Channels

One PFX2731S contains six independent charge/discharge channels. Isolation is provided between channels and between each channel and the chassis, allowing simultaneous independent single-cell tests.

6 V / 20 A High-Rate Operation

Each channel provides separate 2 A and 20 A current ranges with charge and discharge voltage control from -1.000 V to 6.000 V, supporting low-current through high-rate single-cell evaluation.

10 ms Continuous Data Recording

Voltage and current data can be recorded continuously at selectable 10 ms, 100 ms, or 1 s intervals. Delta-voltage and delta-current conditions can also trigger additional data acquisition.

Nine Charge / Discharge Modes

Supports CC, CC-CV, CP, and CP-CV charging; CC, CC-CV, CP, and CP-CV discharging; plus programmable pattern charge/discharge using CC(+CV) or CP(+CV) operation.

100,000-Step Pattern Testing

Constant-current and constant-power pattern operation supports up to 100,000 steps, with programmable step widths from 100 ms to 999.9 s and charge-to-discharge switching in 100 ms maximum.

C-Rate Test Configuration

Test currents, pattern-step currents, current limits, and selected cutoff conditions can be entered using C-rate values based on the battery's nominal capacity.

Independent Hardware / Software Protection

Separate hardware and software overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent protection are complemented by capacity, temperature, SOC, connection-check, and path-switch protection functions.

LAN-Based Multi-Channel Expansion

A single PC can control up to four PFX2731S units for as many as 24 test channels. LAN connectivity also supports integration with compatible constant-temperature chambers.

Battery Protection and BPChecker4000 Test Control

The PFX2731S uses independent hardware and software protection systems together with dedicated BPChecker4000 test software to support long-duration battery charge/discharge evaluation.

Hardware and software limits separately monitor voltage and current. Additional software protection monitors capacity, temperature, and SOC, while a built-in path switch can disconnect the test path rapidly when an abnormal condition is detected.

Hardware + Software Protection Independent OVP, UVP, and OCP layers provide redundant battery-test protection.
Path Switch Built-in switching rapidly interrupts the test path when an abnormal condition is detected.
Capacity / SOC Protection Software limits can monitor integrated capacity and upper or lower SOC conditions.
BPChecker4000 Create test conditions, execute charge/discharge tests, and store test results using dedicated software.

Protection values can also be configured by profile, allowing different limits to be applied as the charge/discharge procedure changes. Test cutoff conditions can use voltage, elapsed time, current, capacity, energy, SOC, temperature, and other supported criteria.
