The KIKUSUI PCR-WEA / WEA2 Series is an ultra-compact programmable AC/DC power supply family covering 1 kVA to 36 kVA per unit. It supports AC output up to 320 Vrms, DC output up to ±452 V, frequencies up to 5 kHz, single- and three-phase test configurations by model, sequence operation, power-line disturbance simulation, and automated system integration.
Regenerative operation is available only on PCR-WEA2R models.

High-Power Programmable AC/DC Testing in an Ultra-Compact Platform

The KIKUSUI PCR-WEA / WEA2 Series provides programmable AC and DC power from 1 kVA to 36 kVA per unit, combining high power density, wide-frequency operation, measurement, sequencing, and automated test-system control.

The series spans compact single-phase PCR-WEA models and higher-power PCR-WEA2 models capable of single-phase, single-phase three-wire, and three-phase operation depending on model. AC output supports frequencies from 1 Hz to 5 kHz, while DC output is available up to the full rated power of the unit.

1 kVA to 36 kVA Fifteen models cover single-unit AC/DC power requirements from development systems to high-power test installations.
Up to 5 kHz Wide-frequency AC output supports commercial-power and avionics-related power testing.
AC + DC Capability AC output reaches 320 Vrms and DC output reaches ±452 V with 100% rated DC power.
Regeneration on WEA2R PCR-WEA2R models provide regenerative operation for applications involving reverse power flow.

Standard LAN, USB, and RS-232C interfaces, optional GPIB, built-in sequence functions, power-line disturbance simulation, and parallel operation on supported models make the series suitable for both standalone evaluation and large automated power-test systems.

1 kVA to 36 kVA AC/DC Output

The current series covers nine non-regenerative models from 1 kVA to 36 kVA and six regenerative WEA2R models from 6 kVA to 36 kVA.

Output Frequency to 5 kHz

Programmable frequency from 1 Hz to 5 kHz supports commercial-line, defense, and avionics-related AC power testing. Output derating conditions apply at low and high frequencies.

AC and Full-Power DC Output

AC output supports 160 V and 320 V ranges. DC operation supports bipolar voltage up to ±452 V with DC power capacity equal to the rated power of the corresponding model.

Single- and Three-Phase Configurations

PCR1000WEA and PCR2000WEA are single-phase models. PCR-WEA2 models beginning with PCR3000WEA2 support switchable single-phase, single-phase three-wire, and three-phase output configurations.

Power-Line Disturbance Simulation

Built-in functions can simulate power interruptions, voltage dips, and voltage increases for power-input and electronic-device evaluation.

Programmable Sequence Operation

Sequence functions support automated changes in output conditions for repeatable development, qualification, and production test procedures.

Integrated Power Measurement

Built-in measurement includes RMS voltage and current, peak current, active power, apparent power, power factor, phase information, and harmonic analysis functions.

Flexible Digital Interfaces

LAN with LXI support, USB, and RS-232C are standard. GPIB is available as an option for integration with existing automated test systems.

Parallel System Expansion

Models rated 6 kVA and higher support parallel-system configurations. KIKUSUI publishes scalable configurations extending to high-power three-phase systems.

Regenerative WEA2R Models

PCR-WEA2R models return reverse load power within the installation site, with regenerative power capability up to the rated capacity of the applicable model.

PCR-WEA2R Regenerative Operation

Regenerative capability is available only on PCR-WEA2R models from 6 kVA to 36 kVA.

PCR-WEA2R models can return reverse load power through the input side at up to 100% of the unit's rated power, helping reduce energy consumption and heat dissipation in applications where power flows back from the equipment under test.

100% Rated Regeneration Maximum regenerative power matches the rated capacity of each WEA2R model.
No Reverse-Flow Time Limit KIKUSUI specifies continuous regenerative capability within the applicable operating conditions.
6 kVA to 36 kVA Six WEA2R models provide regenerative configurations across the high-power range.
Installation-Site Regeneration Regeneration is limited to use within the installation site.
