Real-World Wi-Fi RF Evaluation from Legacy WLAN to Wi-Fi 7
The Anritsu MT8862A measures WLAN transmitter and receiver RF performance while communicating with the device under test using standard IEEE 802.11 protocol messaging.
Network Mode allows the MT8862A to operate as an access point or station and establish a normal WLAN connection with the DUT. This enables measurements using the device's actual shipping firmware rather than requiring a dedicated chipset or manufacturing test mode, helping engineers evaluate RF performance closer to real operating conditions.
The MT8862A supports transmitter measurements such as output power, modulation accuracy, frequency error, and spectrum characteristics, as well as receiver sensitivity testing using packet error rate. Secure WLAN connections, browser-based operation, protocol frame capture, and remote automation support make the platform suitable for development, validation, troubleshooting, and manufacturing inspection.
