Portable 100G Network and Optical Transport Field Testing

The Anritsu MT1000A Network Master Pro is a compact, battery-powered field test platform for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Ethernet and optical transport networks operating at rates up to 100 Gbps.

The modular MT1000A platform can be configured for Ethernet, OTN, eCPRI/RoE, CPRI, Fibre Channel, SDH/SONET, network synchronization, and optical-fiber measurements. Transport modules support network testing from legacy and low-rate interfaces through 100G, while optional OTDR modules add fiber fault location and optical installation verification to the same portable platform.

Built-in automated test workflows can execute predefined procedures, perform pass/fail evaluations, and generate reports without requiring an external controller. Timing options extend the platform for SyncE and PTP verification, while current software also supports 100ZR coherent-transceiver evaluation for emerging metro and optical transport deployments.

Ethernet Testing to 100 Gbps

Supports Ethernet testing at 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps, 25 Gbps, 40 Gbps, and 100 Gbps for field commissioning, troubleshooting, and service verification.

Comprehensive OTN Testing

Supports OTN through OTU4, including Ethernet, CPRI, Fibre Channel, and SDH/SONET client mappings, multistage ODU mapping, FEC, ODU0, and ODUflex measurements.

Mobile Fronthaul and Backhaul

Supports eCPRI and IEEE 1914.3 RoE traffic up to 100 Gbps, CPRI up to 24.3302 Gbps, and OBSAI up to 6 Gbps for mobile transport installation and verification.

Fibre Channel and Legacy Transport

Supports Fibre Channel testing up to 16 Gbps and SDH/SONET testing through STM-64 / OC-192 for mixed-generation transport and storage network environments.

SyncE and PTP Testing

Network synchronization functions support Synchronous Ethernet through 25 GigE and PTP time/phase verification, with high-accuracy GNSS-based measurements available using the appropriate timing module and options.

Optional OTDR Fiber Testing

Multiple OTDR modules support single-mode and multimode fiber measurements at wavelengths including 850, 1300, 1310, 1550, 1625, and 1650 nm depending on the selected module.

Automated Field Test Workflows

Built-in automated testing can load predefined procedures, execute measurements, perform pass/fail evaluation, save results, and support standardized reporting without an external PC controller.

Modular Field Architecture

Configure the MT1000A with 10G or 100G transport modules, OTDR modules, CPRI RF modules, and network timing hardware according to the required field application.

Configure the Platform for Transport, Fiber, or Timing Tests

The MT1000A is a modular field test platform. Measurement capability depends on the transport, optical, timing, and software modules installed in the main unit.

The MU100010A1 10G Multirate Module supports transport testing through 10 Gbps, while the MU100011A 100G Multirate Module extends Ethernet and transport measurements through 100 Gbps. Optional OTDR modules add optical-fiber fault location and installation testing to the same field platform.
