Versatile RF and Microwave Signal Analysis from 9 kHz to 43 GHz

The Anritsu MS2830A is a multifunctional spectrum analyzer and signal analyzer designed for RF and microwave measurement across R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance applications.

Five frequency configurations provide coverage from 9 kHz to 3.6 GHz, 6 GHz, 13.5 GHz, 26.5 GHz, or 43 GHz. The platform combines swept spectrum analysis with FFT-based signal analysis and supports a wide range of optional measurement software and hardware for digital wireless, analog radio, microwave, and component testing.

Optional analysis-bandwidth extensions provide 31.25 MHz, 62.5 MHz, and up to 125 MHz capability for wideband signal characterization.

Integrated Signal Generator Options

Selected RF configurations support optional vector and analog signal generation, helping integrate transmitter and receiver evaluation into a single test platform.

Digital and Analog Modulation Analysis

Optional software supports measurements for LTE, W-CDMA, WLAN, vector modulation, analog FM, phase modulation, AM, and other communication formats.

Noise Figure and Phase Noise Measurement

Configuration Notes

Frequency configurations: The MS2830A family is available as the MS2830A-040 covering up to 3.6 GHz, MS2830A-041 up to 6 GHz, MS2830A-043 up to 13.5 GHz, MS2830A-044 up to 26.5 GHz, and MS2830A-045 up to 43 GHz.

Analysis bandwidth: Signal-analysis bandwidth can be expanded through hardware options. Available configurations include 10 MHz, 31.25 MHz, 62.5 MHz, and up to 125 MHz depending on the installed options and frequency model.

RF models: The MS2830A-040, -041, and -043 are particularly suited to cellular, WLAN, PMR / LMR, and general-purpose digital wireless evaluation. Optional measurement software expands the platform for standards-specific transmitter analysis.

Microwave models: The MS2830A-044 and MS2830A-045 extend built-in frequency coverage to 26.5 GHz and 43 GHz respectively, supporting microwave transmitter, component, manufacturing, and maintenance applications.

Signal generation: Selected configurations support optional vector and analog signal-generator functions, enabling receiver evaluation and combined Tx / Rx test configurations without requiring a separate signal source for many applications.

Measurement expansion: Available options include phase-noise measurement, noise-figure measurement, BER measurement, EMI pre-compliance functionality, and application-specific modulation-analysis software.

Extended millimeter-wave measurements: Compatible external mixer solutions can extend measurement capability beyond the analyzer's built-in 43 GHz frequency range for specialized millimeter-wave applications.
