Ultraportable Spectrum Analysis from RF to 170 GHz

The Anritsu MS2760A Spectrum Master is a USB-powered ultraportable spectrum analyzer designed for broadband RF and millimeter-wave measurements where conventional benchtop instruments can be difficult to position close to the device under test.

MS2760A models provide continuous frequency coverage starting at 9 kHz, with configurations extending to 32 GHz, 44 GHz, 50 GHz, 70 GHz, 90 GHz, 110 GHz, 145 GHz, or 170 GHz. The compact analyzer is controlled from a Windows-based PC, laptop, or tablet using the Spectrum Master user interface.

By allowing the analyzer to be positioned directly at or near the DUT, the MS2760A can reduce reliance on long high-frequency test cables that introduce insertion loss and additional measurement uncertainty. Flexible Spectrum Measurements

A Different Approach to Portable Spectrum Analysis

The MS2760A is not a conventional handheld spectrum analyzer with an integrated display and control panel. Instead, the analyzer hardware is USB-powered and operated through Anritsu's Spectrum Master software on a Windows-based device.

This architecture allows the spectrum analyzer itself to remain compact enough to position close to the measurement point. At millimeter-wave frequencies, shortening the RF path can be particularly valuable because coaxial cable loss increases as measurement frequency rises.
