High-Performance Spectrum Analysis for Field RF Measurements

The Anritsu MS2720T Spectrum Master combines high-performance spectrum analysis with a battery-powered handheld platform for RF, microwave, interference, and wireless network measurements in the field.

Current MS2720T configurations provide continuous frequency coverage from 9 kHz to 9 GHz, 13 GHz, or 20 GHz. The instrument delivers greater than 106 dB dynamic range in a 1 Hz resolution bandwidth, displayed average noise level as low as -164 dBm, and phase noise of -112 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset from a 1 GHz carrier.

Up to 20 GHz Current frequency configurations cover 9 kHz to 9 GHz, 13 GHz, or 20 GHz.
-164 dBm DANL High sensitivity supports weak-signal and interference measurements in the field.
-112 dBc/Hz Phase Noise Low phase noise at a 10 kHz offset from 1 GHz supports demanding RF spectrum measurements.
Optional Tracking Generator Full-band tracking generator configurations are available through 20 GHz for two-port scalar measurements.

Optional measurement capabilities expand the MS2720T for interference analysis, coverage mapping, GPS-assisted measurements, channel scanning, LTE and other wireless standards, AM/FM/PM analysis, power measurements, and PIM hunting. Its touchscreen interface, field-replaceable Li-Ion battery, and operation from -10 °C to +55 °C support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and spectrum monitoring outside the laboratory.

Frequency Coverage up to 20 GHz

Current MS2720T configurations provide continuous spectrum analysis from 9 kHz to 9 GHz, 13 GHz, or 20 GHz for field RF and microwave measurements.

High Sensitivity and Dynamic Range

The MS2720T provides greater than 106 dB dynamic range in a 1 Hz RBW and displayed average noise level as low as -164 dBm for detecting and evaluating low-level signals.

Low Phase Noise

Phase noise of -112 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset from 1 GHz supports accurate evaluation of closely spaced RF signals and transmitter performance.

Standard Full-Band Preamplifiers

Full-band preamplifiers are standard, improving sensitivity across the supported frequency range for weak-signal and interference measurements.

Fast Spectrum Sweeps

Fast sweep mode operates up to 100 times faster than Performance mode, while Burst Detect mode provides enhanced capture performance for short-duration signals within a 15 MHz span.

Optional Interference Analysis

The Interference Analyzer option adds spectrogram, signal-strength, RSSI, and interference mapping tools for locating and characterizing unwanted RF activity.

Tracking Generator up to 20 GHz

Optional full-band tracking generators support scalar two-port measurements of devices such as filters, attenuators, amplifiers, and cables through the configured frequency range.

Optional Wireless Signal Measurements

Optional measurement packages support LTE FDD/TDD and LTE-Advanced as well as GSM/GPRS/EDGE, W-CDMA/HSPA+, TD-SCDMA/HSPA+, CDMA/EV-DO, NB-IoT, and WiMAX measurements.

GPS-Assisted Field Measurements

The optional GPS receiver supports improved frequency accuracy and geo-tagged data collection and is required for functions such as coverage mapping.

Designed for Field Operation

An 8.4-inch touchscreen, Li-Ion battery with approximately three hours of typical operation, and -10 °C to +55 °C operating temperature range support field installation and maintenance work.
