SVO-06 MIPI CSI-2 Generator & Camera Emulator

The NetVision SVO-06 is a MIPI CSI-2 generator designed to reproduce recorded or computer-generated video as configurable camera signals for ECU, image-processor, and automotive vision-system development.

Video files stored on a Windows PC are transferred through USB 3.0 and converted into MIPI CSI-2 output. This allows development and validation to continue using simulated camera data even when the target camera module or CMOS image sensor is unavailable or still under development.

Output resolution, frame timing, blanking, MIPI lane configuration, lane rate, pixel format, and Virtual Channel can be configured to reproduce different camera-output conditions.

The SVO-06 can also be combined with compatible NetVision serializer boards to create automotive SerDes camera-emulation environments for ECU and in-vehicle video-system testing.

High-Speed MIPI CSI-2 Output

Generates MIPI CSI-2 video using 1, 2, or 4 data lanes with configurable data rates from 600 to 1500 Mbps per lane and total output bandwidth up to 6.0 Gbps.

USB 3.0 Video Input

Transfers video from a Windows PC through USB 3.0, allowing recorded and computer-generated image data to be reproduced as MIPI camera output.

Camera & Sensor Emulation

Supplies repeatable MIPI video to ECUs, DSPs, ISPs, and other image-processing devices without requiring the target camera or CMOS image sensor.

Configurable Video Timing

Allows output timing to be adjusted at the pixel-clock level, including blanking periods, to reproduce different MIPI camera timing conditions.

RAW & Multi-Format Output

Supports YUV422 8-bit, RGB24, RAW8, RAW10, RAW12, RAW16, and RAW20 for a broad range of camera and image-processing development environments.

Virtual Channel Support

Supports MIPI CSI-2 Virtual Channels 0 through 3 for development and validation of multi-stream camera and image-processing systems.

I2C & GPIO Control

Provides one I2C channel and 16-bit GPIO with individually configurable input and output direction for integration with cameras and peripheral devices.

Continuous & Non-Continuous Clock

Supports both Continuous Clock and Non-Continuous Clock MIPI CSI-2 operation for compatibility with different target-device configurations.

Automotive Serializer Integration

Can be combined with compatible NetVision serializer boards to generate test video for GMSL and other automotive SerDes camera-interface environments.

Optional Multi-Board Video Merge

Multiple SVO-06 boards can optionally combine differently sized video streams and generate them as a single MIPI video output.
