SVL-03-UVC MIPI CSI-2 Monitoring & Capture Board

The NetVision SVL-03-UVC is a high-bandwidth MIPI CSI-2 monitoring and capture board for recording, displaying, and evaluating camera and image-sensor video signals.

MIPI CSI-2 video can be captured through USB 3.2 Gen 2 / Gen 1 or displayed directly through DisplayPort 1.1a. The standard configuration supports four MIPI data lanes with a transfer rate of up to 1.5 Gbps per lane.

1.5 Gbps / Lane MIPI CSI-2 input across up to four standard data lanes
USB 3.2 Gen 2 UVC video capture with bandwidth up to 6.0 Gbps
4K DisplayPort Display output up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps
Multi-Camera Support Dual-sensor and synchronized multi-board capture workflows

The SVL-03-UVC combines Artix-7 and CrossLink FPGAs to support functions including embedded data, multiple virtual channels, image clipping, test-pattern output, I2C control, GPIO, and synchronization.

It can also be combined with compatible NetVision SerDes interface boards for automotive camera evaluation, including systems using high-bandwidth in-vehicle deserializers.

High-Speed MIPI CSI-2 Input

Supports MIPI D-PHY CSI-2 input with one to four standard data lanes and data rates from 20 to 1500 Mbps per lane. The interface supports both continuous and non-continuous clock operation.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 Video Capture

Captures MIPI video through USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Gen 1 using a UVC-compatible workflow, with bandwidth up to 6.0 Gbps in Gen 2 mode and up to 3.0 Gbps in Gen 1 mode.

4K DisplayPort Monitoring

Provides DisplayPort 1.1a video output with standard resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps for direct monitoring of camera and image-sensor signals.

RAW & Multi-Format Video Support

Supports YUV422 8-bit, RGB24, and RAW8, RAW10, RAW12, RAW16, and RAW20 pixel formats for a range of camera and CMOS image-sensor evaluation workflows.

Virtual Channels & Embedded Data

Artix-7 and CrossLink FPGAs provide support for multiple virtual channels and embedded-line data together with test-pattern output and image-clipping functions.

Multi-Camera Synchronization

Supports simultaneous capture from two sensors and synchronized capture using multiple SVL-03-UVC boards for multi-camera development and evaluation.

I2C & GPIO Control

Includes one I2C channel with selectable communication frequencies and 16-bit GPIO with configurable input and output direction for camera and peripheral control.

Automotive SerDes Integration

Supports use with compatible NetVision deserializer boards for high-bandwidth automotive camera and in-vehicle video-interface evaluation.
