Electrical Safety Testing with the TOS9300 Series

The KIKUSUI TOS9300 Series combines multiple electrical safety test functions in a programmable platform, with model configurations for AC/DC hipot, insulation resistance, ground bond, leakage current, and partial discharge testing.

Rather than providing every test function in every instrument, the TOS9300 Series is configured by model. This allows a test system to be selected around the safety tests required for a specific product, laboratory procedure, quality assurance process, or manufacturing inspection system.

Up to 10 kV Hipot TOS9311 supports AC and DC hipot testing up to 10 kV.
Multiple Safety Tests Model configurations cover hipot, insulation resistance, ground bond, leakage current, and partial discharge.
Automated Test Sequences Programmable test programs and external interfaces support repeatable automated testing.
Multi-Channel Expansion The optional TOS9320 scanner expands supported high-voltage testing to as many as 16 channels.

Standard communication interfaces and external control functions make the series suitable for both standalone testing and integration into automated electrical safety inspection systems.

Model-Specific Safety Test Configurations

Select AC hipot, DC hipot, insulation resistance, ground bond, leakage current, or partial discharge capability according to the model. Test functions are not identical across the TOS9300 Series.

AC and DC Hipot Testing

Standard TOS9300 configurations provide AC hipot output up to 5 kV / 100 mA. DC-capable models provide up to 7.2 kV / 100 W. The TOS9311 extends AC and DC test voltage capability to 10 kV.

Insulation Resistance Measurement

Supported models measure insulation resistance from 0.001 MΩ to 100.0 GΩ. Positive and negative test-voltage capability depends on model configuration.

Ground Bond Testing

TOS9302, TOS9303, and TOS9303LC support ground bond testing with resistance measurement from 0.001 Ω to 0.600 Ω over the specified 3.0 A to 42.0 A test-current range.

Leakage Current Testing

TOS9303LC adds leakage current testing, including touch current, protective conductor current, and patient leakage current measurement.

Partial Discharge Testing

TOS9301PD adds partial discharge measurement for detecting insulation behavior that may not be identified by conventional withstand-voltage testing alone.

Programmable Auto Testing

Test steps can be combined into automated sequences for repeatable electrical safety testing and manufacturing inspection workflows.

Production-Line Interfaces

LAN, USB, RS232C, remote control, and SIGNAL I/O functions support connection to PCs, controllers, interlocks, fixtures, and automated inspection equipment.

Automation and Production-Line Integration

The TOS9300 Series is designed for both manual safety testing and integration into automated inspection systems.

Auto-test functions allow compatible test functions to be combined into programmed sequences. The platform supports test-condition memory, program memory, test-result storage, and external control for repeatable production and quality-assurance workflows.

External Control LAN, USB, RS232C and SIGNAL I/O support automated test-system integration.

For multi-point high-voltage testing, the optional TOS9320 provides four channels per scanner. Up to four scanners can be connected for a maximum of 16 channels, with each channel selectable as high, low, or open and with contact-check capability.
