Motor Vibration and Bearing Noise Inspection

The ECG KOKUSAI MV-20 and MV-20D are motor vibration testers designed to detect vibration, imbalance, and bearing rumbling in small and precision motors.

A high-sensitivity piezoelectric acceleration sensor is applied directly to the motor bearing area to capture mechanical vibration. This approach reduces the influence of surrounding acoustic noise and provides a repeatable alternative to subjective listening-based inspection.

Measured vibration can also be monitored through the built-in speaker or earphones. External communication functions support integration with automated production inspection equipment.

The MV-20D adds USB communication together with a 16-bit A/D converter and 1 Mword waveform memory, enabling vibration waveform acquisition for FFT analysis and examination of frequency characteristics over time.

Direct Bearing-Area Vibration Detection

A high-sensitivity acceleration sensor measures mechanical vibration directly at the motor bearing area, reducing the influence of surrounding acoustic noise.

Motor Imbalance and Bearing Noise Detection

Detects vibration associated with motor imbalance together with bearing rumbling and other abnormal mechanical vibration.

Three Selectable Frequency Bands

Selectable Full, Low, and High frequency ranges allow inspection from 15 Hz to 10 kHz.

0.05 G to 10 G Measurement Range

Six acceleration ranges support vibration measurement from 0.05 G to 10 G.

Audible Monitoring

Measured abnormal vibration can be monitored through the built-in speaker or connected earphones.

Production-Line Connectivity

I/O and RS-232C communication support integration with automated motor inspection and production equipment.

MV-20D Digital Waveform Acquisition

The MV-20D adds USB communication, a 16-bit A/D converter, and 1 Mword waveform memory for digital vibration-data acquisition.

FFT Analysis with MV-20D Data

MV-20D waveform data can be used for FFT analysis and evaluation of changes in frequency characteristics over time.

Automatic pass/fail evaluation: the manufacturer states that automatic reject/pass judgment can be implemented using an optional comparator.
