Repetitive Impulse Surge Testing for Motor Insulation Evaluation
The ECG KOKUSAI IPX-05BP-PDIV is a repetitive impulse surge power supply designed for evaluating surge-resistant wires, nanocomposite wires, motor insulation materials, and other samples exposed to inverter-like surge conditions.
The system continuously applies repetitive impulse voltage to the test sample, enabling long-duration evaluation under simulated inverter-surge conditions. It supports both capacitive and inductive loads for insulation and material reliability testing.
Available waveform modes include surge, square, pseudo-inverter, and rectangular waveforms. The rectangular waveform is identified by the manufacturer as compliant with IEC TS 63263.
A built-in overcurrent protection circuit supports continuous breakdown testing. Partial-discharge testing during continuous operation can also be performed with the MW-95 partial-discharge sensor, with a separate monitor such as an oscilloscope required.
