Sugawara Labs Anderon Meter System – Bearing Vibration Tester

Anderon Meter System for Bearing Vibration Measurement

The Sugawara Anderon Meter System is a precision bearing vibration tester designed to quantify radial vibration in rotating bearings with high repeatability using standardized Anderon measurements.

The system rotates the bearing inner ring while a contact velocity sensor detects radial vibration at the outer ring. Measurement results can be evaluated across defined frequency bands and analyzed using the ADA-105 Anderon Analyzer for bearing quality evaluation, vibration analysis, and inspection applications.

1 mm to 220 mm Bearing size coverage depending on drive unit configuration
7 Frequency Bands U, R, L, M, H, E, and A measurement bands
Fluid Dynamic Spindle Low-vibration spindle design for precision measurement
ISO 15242-2:2015 Measurement conditions aligned with the bearing vibration standard

By selecting the appropriate drive unit, pusher, arbor, and pusher head, the system can be configured for applications ranging from miniature ball bearings to large-diameter bearings. Its modular architecture also allows the measurement system to be adapted to different bearing types and inspection requirements.

High-Repeatability Anderon Measurement

Quantifies bearing vibration in Anderon units using a controlled spindle, sensor, pusher, and measurement configuration designed for repeatable bearing evaluation.

Wide Bearing Size Coverage

System configurations support bearings ranging from miniature bearings with a 1 mm inner-ring bore to large bearings with an outer diameter of up to 220 mm.

Fluid Dynamic Spindle

Sugawara drive units use an oil-based fluid dynamic spindle designed to minimize vibration generated by the measurement system itself.

Direct-Drive Configuration

Direct spindle drive eliminates a conventional drive belt and helps maintain stable rotation for precision vibration measurement.

Seven Measurement Bands

Supports U, R, L, M, H, E, and A frequency bands, including the standard L, M, and H bands used for bearing vibration evaluation.

Real-Time Vibration Analysis

The ADA-105 analyzer provides real-time Anderon spectrum and waveform displays to support investigation of vibration characteristics and bearing defects.

Controlled Axial Loading

ADP Series pushers apply a stable axial load to the bearing outer ring, helping improve measurement reproducibility and reduce variation caused by improper loading.

Interchangeable Measurement Tools

Arbors and pusher heads are selected according to bearing dimensions, allowing one measurement platform to accommodate multiple bearing sizes.

Quality Inspection Support

Measurement data can be used for bearing production quality assurance, acceptance inspection, and evaluation of vibration characteristics.

Bearing Manufacturing Quality Assurance Measurement and evaluation of bearing vibration during production and final quality inspection.
Incoming Bearing Inspection Acceptance inspection and quality control of bearings before they are integrated into motors or other rotating equipment.
Vibration & Noise Research Investigation of bearing vibration characteristics when developing quieter and lower-vibration rotating equipment.
Bearing Defect Analysis Spectrum and waveform analysis for investigating vibration associated with bearing components and operating conditions.
Motor & Rotating Equipment Development Evaluation and selection of bearings for applications requiring controlled vibration and noise characteristics.
Bearing R&D Comparative measurement of bearing designs, manufacturing conditions, lubrication conditions, and vibration performance.
