The ASTRODESIGN VG-876 provides a modular signal-generation platform for engineers who need to evaluate multiple display and digital-video interface standards from a single instrument.
Up to four output modules can be installed to configure the VG-876 for HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2a, V-by-One HS, 3G-SDI, DVI/iTMDS, and related video-interface workflows. This architecture allows the instrument to be adapted to different development and display-evaluation requirements.

Depending on the installed interface modules, the VG-876 can support high-resolution HDMI generation, DisplayPort testing, high-lane-count V-by-One HS output, SDI workflows, and synchronized multi-unit configurations for higher-resolution video generation.
Four-Slot Modular Architecture
Configure up to four selectable video-interface modules to build a generator around the interfaces required by the development environment.
HDMI 2.0 6G Generation
With the compatible HDMI 6G module, generate HDMI 2.0 signals up to 600 MHz and 6 Gbps for 4K/60p display and sink-device evaluation.
DisplayPort 1.2a
A compatible DisplayPort module supports SST and MST workflows, 4K/60p through a single channel, and 4K/120p using two ports.
V-by-One HS Generation
Generate high-bandwidth V-by-One HS signals with up to 16 lanes per module for display-panel and high-resolution video development.
3G-SDI Support
A selectable SDI module supports 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI output, including 2-Sample Interleave, payload and timecode functions.
High-Resolution Synchronized Output
Multiple VG-876 units can be synchronized for higher-resolution workflows, including manufacturer-documented 8K configurations.
HDMI Test Functions
Supports HDMI 2.0-oriented functions including SCDC parameter control, scrambling settings, BT.2020 output, HDR InfoFrame settings, and supported compliance-test workflows.
