Expandable Scanner Platform for Multi-Channel Automated Testing

The ADCMT 3100 / 3101 is an expandable scanner and switch platform for multi-channel data acquisition, semiconductor testing, electronic-component inspection, and automated measurement systems.

The 3100 scanner provides two switch-card slots and can operate independently for compact systems. Up to five 3101 extenders can be connected through ScanBus, expanding the system to a total of 17 switch-card slots.

Up to 17 Slots 3100 plus as many as five 3101 extenders
Up to 1,360 Channels Maximum configuration with 1-wire multiplexer cards
330 channels/s Maximum high-speed switching capability
Up to 10 A Large-current switching with compatible switch cards

Multiplexer, actuator, and matrix cards support high-speed, high-voltage, high-current, microcurrent, low-thermal-EMF, and general-purpose signal switching. This enables one scanner platform to support a wide variety of measurement instruments and DUT configurations.

The 3100 can be controlled from the front panel or remotely through USB and GPIB. Standard digital I/O provides additional control of relays, indicators, and external equipment in automated test systems.

Expandable to 17 Slots

Start with two switch-card slots in the 3100 and add up to five 3101 extenders with three slots each for a total of 17 slots.

Up to 1,360 Channels

Configure as many as 1,360 switching channels when using compatible 1-wire multiplexer cards across the fully expanded system.

330 Channels/s Switching

High-speed switching supports multi-point data acquisition and automated component inspection requiring rapid channel sequencing.

High-Current Switching to 10 A

Compatible large-current multiplexer and actuator cards support switching currents up to 10 A for power and component testing.

High-Voltage Switching

Optional high-voltage multiplexer cards support applications up to 1000 V, depending on the installed card.

Low-Thermal-EMF Switching

Compatible cards such as the 31005B provide thermal EMF performance at approximately the 1 μV level for precision low-level measurement.

Multiplexer, Actuator and Matrix Cards

Select from multiple switch-card architectures to build switching systems optimized for voltage, current, resistance, or signal routing.

Digital I/O Control

Open-collector digital output supports sink current up to 150 mA, while inputs accept levels from TTL through 28 V for external equipment control.

USB and GPIB Remote Control

Operate locally from the front panel or integrate the scanner into automated measurement systems through USB and GPIB.
