Bipolar Source Measure Unit for Pulsed Device and Low-Resistance Testing
The ADCMT 6240B combines high-speed pulsed voltage and current sourcing with 5½-digit measurement and precision low-resistance testing in one bipolar source measure unit.
The 6240B provides DC voltage output up to ±15 V at ±1 A and pulsed current up to ±4 A at ±10 V. Its 50 μs minimum pulse width supports device characterization while reducing measurement errors caused by DUT self-heating.
Four sweep types—fixed, linear, random, and two-slope linear—support semiconductor and electronic component characterization. Separate HI and LO limiter settings help protect batteries, capacitors, laser diodes, and other devices that are sensitive to over-discharge or reverse voltage.
The integrated low-resistance measurement function can cancel thermal electromotive force generated at metal contact surfaces, supporting precise testing of connectors, conductive materials, wire harnesses, and shunt resistors.
