High-Speed, High-Accuracy Optical Wavelength Measurement
The ADCMT 8471 measures the wavelength and frequency of laser sources from 630 to 1650 nm for laser diode adjustment, stability analysis, calibration, and automated production testing.
A stabilized He-Ne laser provides the reference wavelength, while the Michelson interferometer method enables high-accuracy measurement across visible and near-infrared wavelengths. The instrument displays wavelength in vacuum or standard air and optical frequency in THz.
The 8471 supports high-resolution measurement of the emission-center wavelength and frequency of laser diodes used in DWDM systems. Frequency and deviation displays assist with adjustment to an ITU-T frequency grid and evaluation of wavelength drift caused by temperature or current changes.
Up to 10,000 data sets can be stored internally for long-term measurements without a continuously connected PC. Standard USB and GPIB interfaces support automated measurement and external data collection.
