The IWASAKI SUV-W171 EYE Super UV Tester is a high-intensity metal-halide UV weathering tester designed to accelerate weather-resistance and light-resistance evaluation of materials and products.

A water-cooled 6 kW metal-halide lamp provides high-intensity ultraviolet exposure with irradiance up to 150 mW/cm². The system combines irradiation, condensation, dark, and shower conditions to support controlled accelerated weathering programs for research, development, and quality evaluation.

Compared with the previous SUV-W161, the SUV-W171 increases effective irradiation area by approximately 20% while reducing equipment width. The redesigned system also reduces power consumption by approximately 20% and improves lamp replacement, maintenance access, sample visibility, and touch-panel operation.

Optional configurations extend the system to visible-light irradiation from 300 to 800 nm and LAN-based remote monitoring and operation.

High-Intensity UV Exposure

Expanded Irradiation Area

The 96,000 mm² effective irradiation area is approximately 20% larger than that of the previous SUV-W161, allowing more specimen area to be evaluated simultaneously.

Irradiation, condensation, dark, and shower conditions can be used to create controlled accelerated weathering test programs.

Automatic UV Irradiation Control

Controlled UV output and 90% or higher irradiance uniformity support consistent exposure across the effective test area.

Reduced Power Consumption

Optimized system design reduces power consumption by approximately 20% compared with the previous SUV-W161.

Improved Maintenance Access

A connector-type lamp system and redesigned lightweight UV unit simplify lamp and jacket replacement and improve routine maintainability.

Improved Touch-Panel Interface

Updated software improves visibility and operation, including maintenance and calibration notifications and a segmented display of test sequences.

Large Sample Viewing Window

A larger observation window improves visibility of specimens during testing.

Visible-Light Option

An optional visible-light filter extends irradiation capability from the ultraviolet region into the visible-light range from 300 to 800 nm.

Optional Remote Monitoring

Optional LAN connectivity allows test progress and equipment status to be monitored from a PC on the connected network.
